– birthday poem for my baby sister –

Guitar in one hand

and the world on demand,

a sound that blends old and new…

this is what I think of you.

Smart words from your lips

and sass in your hips,

a sharp, lethal charm too…

this is what I think of you.

You were a young girl,

who took on the whole town.

You are a young woman,

taking disbelievers down.

My baby sister from another mister,

your wit is just half the fun.

You’ll change the name of this great game…

young Liz at 21.
