– the way to waterbury –

Took my train to find new land,

even if for just a day,

swerving ‘long the river bend,

and let autumn have its way.

Portraits of my seat’s window

illustrate the quiet towns –

from Shelton to Naugatuck…

red and orange and gold and brown.

Through the hillsides on the

thrill side, I sit actively.

A commute line brings a

joyride for an active me.

And then the machine rests…

here in the end of quests…

step on to the platform…

Waterbury in the morn.
