– he’s leaving –

He tried… he tried…

he fought to the finish, but

faith in faulty work had died,

so he chose to end it.

He tried… he tried…

he rolled relentless, but

fake flowers just cannot cry and

blossom; just diminish.

~

See the boxes and the

bags, all the books and clothes he

has. Ready to hand in his

key; now I clearly see he’s

leaving… he’s leaving… he’s

packing up and shipping out. He’s

leaving, but not grieving – no

cloudy conundrums of doubt, and

even with my smallest fears,

I’ll keep my most small of tears, and

show my joy for the goodbye boy who’s

over and out.
