My co-worker Victor and I cut up boards today.
Exchanging words with each other,
we shared some realizations together.
We are both summer babies,
he, June of ’78,
me, August a decade after.
He lives a town or two over with his wife and kids.
My solo self stays silent in the south end.
He studied to be an electrician back in Mexico
I pursued a degree in journalism in Ohio.
we both ended up cutting up boards for boxes here in Connecticut.
