ethereal poem july 2014
July 2014 – This is a picture of my best friend Victoria during her trip to Uganda a couple of years ago. I’ve written about her before on this blog, but I was inspired recently to write about her upon finding the definition for the word “ethereal” (extremely delicate or light in a way that seems too perfect for this world). If you’ve met her just once in your life, you might agree this word defines her perfectly.

You are perfection…
picked from a high selection.
Even when you’re in the world, you’re
far above the earth, and
rightfully so… you
just don’t know.
You are a flower…
sown in the April shower.
Even if you fall from grace,
no rose can grow in your place, and
without doubts to cling to, rolled a-
way with the morning dew.
When you look in the mirror,
do you witness all the beauty that
most of us see, the
face of a queen?
When you look in the mirror,
do you view the greatness that we
all should be, most
certainly me?
